In January 2025, the Board gave support to set up a “fireside” chat with members. The impetus for this ask was senior members in our organization seeing the changes that are emerging in our profession and wanting to connect with the Board to see if there were ways OSRP could represent some of these concerns to CRPO. This has been one of the issues that went on the back burner when the Board disbanded over the following months. Although there was great support for the idea of a fireside chat, we are now just looking at this endeavour. The Board will be sending a poll out in the next issue of Central to look at members’ reasons for joining OSRP. We will also survey your interest in following up with this fireside chat idea. It’s now summer, so it might be more of a “campfire” chat. Reportedly, last month’s issue of Central was opened by 1,321 members and contacts.
